To become acquainted with the genius Dr Samuel Hahnemann, itis necessary to study his miscellaneous medical writings along with hissubstantial and voluminous works, The Organon, Materia Medica Pura and TheChronic Diseases. It encloses the homoeopathic doctrines and the peculiaritiesof its practice. It contains all the Essays in Stapf’s collection. The writingshave been arranged as much as possible in the order of their appearance. Itmust be read by every student of homoeopathy who wishes to become acquaintedwith the master mind himself.It also includes an elaborate work (On Venereal Diseases) ofa date antecedent to Hahnemann's first notion respecting the homoeopathicprinciple, containing many original ideas, and most important innovations onthe common practice; the date of its publication sufficiently accounts for itsold-fashioned pathology and chemistry.
